DMCA & Copyright Policy
linkstream respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). This policy outlines how we handle copyright infringement claims and takedown requests.
1. Our role
linkstream is a link aggregation platform. We do not host the content linked from our site. We display titles, descriptions, and preview images sourced from the original websites for editorial and navigational purposes only.
2. Reporting copyright infringement
If you believe that content accessible through linkstream infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice. Your notice must include the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorised agent
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including the URL on linkstream
- Your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, under penalty of perjury
3. How to submit a notice
Please send your completed DMCA takedown notice via X with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Request." We aim to review and respond to valid notices within a reasonable timeframe.
4. What happens next
Upon receiving a valid notice, we will:
- Review the notice for completeness and validity
- Remove or disable access to the reported link if the claim is substantiated
- Notify the submitting party if contact information is available
5. Repeat infringers
We maintain a policy of terminating access for submitters who are found to repeatedly infringe copyright. This is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
6. Counter-notification
If you believe your link was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification containing your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed by mistake, and consent to jurisdiction. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we may restore the link unless the copyright owner files legal action.
7. Disclaimer
We are not a court or arbitrator of copyright disputes. This policy is provided for informational purposes and does not constitute legal advice. If you are uncertain about your rights, please consult a qualified legal professional.
